STATE FINALS!!!!

State Finals for Marching Band were today. We kicked ass!!!! It was so emotional though, as soon as we put our horns down at the end I started crying.

I left my heart and soul on that Silverdome field and there it will stay through demolition and all. I devoted so much of my life to Marching Band and I grew so much throughout the course of it, it only seems right to leave a piece of me with it. Tonight was Lake Orion last performance in the Dome, my last performance as a senior and my last performance as a musician. To night was amazing and I am so incredibly glad that I got to be a part of it. I know next year I will be so jealous and wishing I had failed senior year to do it all again (well maybe not:)). I love you all so much!

I could feel the tension running through the band and they announced 10th place with a score of 72.??.........CLARKSTON!! 9th place, with a score of 76.??.......TROY ATHENS!! 8th place with a score of 77.65.....LAKE ORION!!! etc... We did sooooo good. From 9th place to 3rd place the scores were soooo close and from 9th to 6th we were all within apoint of each other.

We kicked Clarkston's ass in football then gave them a whooping in band! Best weekend ever! Best end to Marching season ever! BEST WAY TO END SENIOR YEAR SEASON! This has been such and amazing year and I know it will only get better!

I LOVE ALL BAND KIDS!!! Thanks for a great, super, amazing, spectacular, etc... year! I don't know what I'd do without you guys (and girls).
