2:25pm: A New Year
Wow it's been a while!!

I didn't get the RA job disappointing but it means I'll be living with Kelsey and Sarah next year!! And possibly Adam but we're not positive yet. We will have 3 fish, a cat and a puppy cause we're adopting a puppy from Paws for a Cause. We get to train "him", take him to the mall and into stores and restaurants, I'm super excited.

Greg and I broke up like three days back from break but we worked things out and are back together.

This past Saturday night was pretty much the best college party I've been to so far. Emily's parents were out of town: alcohol, a sauna, the shower and a dark room. We had fun.

Classes are ok. Myth isn't bad but my prof seems scatterbrained at times. Math = shoot me cause my prof is a complete ass and sucks at explaining things. Human Origins is pretty cool, my prof is great. My geography prof makes me want to pull my hair out or take forks to my eyes. And my Into to Education class is pretty sweet I've learned a lot so far and the prof is great.

Spring Break is the first week in March. No plans but to hang with friends. Hopefully I can babysit to get a little extra money. And I'm going to file my taxes...YAY!!

I auditioned for "The Rocky Horror Show" at GV but didn't make it so I'm going to work backstage.

Two weeks ago I slipped on ice, twisted my knee and I went down and currently have a strained ligament. I have a brace for two weeks.

JANUARY:

I can't believe it's 2006...the year I graduate.

Last night I went with Chris to see "Fun with Dick and Jane".

I got a B on History and in the class.....the curve was out of 86.

Went to GVSU Friday and Saturday.

So to update everyone: Ray and I were dating, then we broke up and not Greg and I are together but not really.


Talk about a year of extremes....a good year none the less...after the 31st I can really say I graduated last year!!

4:56pm: Long TIme Gone
So to update everyone: Ray and I were dating, then we broke up and not Greg and I are together but not really. It suck though cause he frickin lives 4 hours away though his family is going to Ohio for Christmas and Friday night they're staying in Farmington at his dad's college roommates house so we're hoping to get together then, if not we have to wait 'til New Year's IF my parents even let me go and the only way I plan on NOT going is if the weateher is super crappy but at this rate I highly doubt it. Anyway I'm back from college for three weeks I "move back in" on Jan. 7 and classes start the 8th. I have 16 credits next semester so I will be quite the busy bee so chances are that I'll be on here even less, though I will still check Facebook everychance I get cause I'm a whore like that and I'm always online unless my computer decides to be dumb and kick me off.

Anyways Happy Holidays to everyone, hope to see you all at some point, hope to hang out with many of you as well!!!

1:43pm: Part 2
So to follow up my last post.....He came and talked to me yesterday. He told me he liked me "quite a bit" and wanted to know if I felt the same way. I told him I didn't know how I felt and that a big part of it was the smoking. He understood and said he was working on it, which I knew, he told me he was going to quit over Christmas. He came and talked to me at like 7pm yesterday. At midnight the two guys he usually smokes with went out for a cigarette...he didn't....my friend brought something up and he said he hadn't had one since 4pm. The guys went out two hours later, he went with them. He came into my room when they were done. When he left I told him I'd give him a hug but he smelled...he told me he had just gone out with them, he didn't smoke.......This morning I ran into one of our mutual friends and she said that he had taken all his packing stuff to one of the guys room.

He wasn't going to quit til Christmas...he's quitting now....because of me.....

3:50am: So...
So there's this guy I kinda like. But he smokes. He knows I don't like it. And when he does go out to smoke he doesn't come around me for a while afterwards, because he smells (and he knows I would send him away). We've kissed but never right after he smokes cause he knows I won't do it. He's trying to quit and he said he was going to over Christmas break but it's hard for me to believe. I guess I've accepted the fact that he smokes but the other night he did it in front of me and I got pissed, he did it tonight too. And both nights while we were in the car. He's so nice and sweet and really cares about me but when I saw him smoke it was like I wasn't even looking at the same person. Kim's not here this weekend, I'm hoping he's not expecting anything. James told me not to let the smoking thing get in the way, but it is and I don't see my opinion/mind changing anytime ever.

11:08am: SNOW!!!!
So last night Kim and I went to Maria's apartment. We left at like quarter to midnight so we could catch the bus back. Well the bus took enitrely too long to come so Kim and I walked back. Mind you from our dorm to Maria'sapartment is about a 3 minute drive, at least 1 1/2 miles. Well while we were walking back the snow started. Just a little bit here and there but it was snowing. I called my friend Jared and he didn't believe me. When we got back we told David and Brett and they didn't believe us either. Well when we woke up this morning Kim and I laughed cause we were right and they didn't believe us, though we didn't think the snow would stick. Snow in October is weird and wrong and should just not happen but it's kinda sweet at the same time.

2:59am: boredom
So it's 3am on Saturday.....I'm sitting on Kelsey's couch typing this. I was in here earlier cause we were watching a movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". It was fun. We were going to play euchre to get in practice for our tournament on Sunday but Sarala was convinced she would puke if she had to think so we just watched the movie. It was my second chick flick in a day!! I watched "Hicth" earlier with Kelsey. And then Adam came in and decided he liked the name Atticus and he dubbed us "Marilyn and Atticus - Partners in Crime". After "...10 Days" I went back to my room and was doing...I don't even remember and Kelsey came in and asked me to go to the C-store with her to get ice cream. On our way back people pulled up and got out of a car drunk...they were kinda loud, Kelsey and I were laughing. And now I'm sitting here on Kelsey's futon typing this and eating ice cream and talking to Gabe when he wanders in here even though he keeps saying he's going to bed.

I promise I am completely sober right now....just very tired and very bored.

5:00pm: CENTRAL!!!
Last night Kim and I went to Central to visit her friend Andy.....we definately had some fun. Three Smirnoff's each and we decided to walk down to Main St. to check out the Frats well we got there around 1am and the cops came right after and broke all of them up. It was still fun. We stayed in Andy's dorm, with his three other roommates in an all guys dorm.....hmmmm.....We stayed up til like 5am then woke up in time to watch the Michigan game. Kim and I left at half time. I just took a shower and now I'm super uber tired.

1:48pm: BLAH!

2:46pm: Yesterday
Last night Kim and I went swimming with some guys we had met Sunday when we were at the pool. So we went and had sooooo much fun, I have brusies to show for it on the back of my right thigh and down my left shin. But afterwards they invited us over and we had pizza and hung out and stuff, it was fun.....until we got written up for a noise violation which was still funny because Matt was standing behind the door making fun of the girl who was writing us up. When Kim and I got back to our room we both posted to Matt that we had had fun. Well he sent her a message back asking her on a date sometime...awww! I'm so excited for her. And I was talking to Dave online and we ended up going to lunch today, it was fun. They also invited us to tailgate with them tomorrow night before the football game!!!!! I'm so excited to hang out with them more they are such cool people and.....yeah pretty much amazing.

1:03pm: ushdougter
So this weekend was intersting. So many people have had relationship issues. Just as I thought my problems were over they just got more interesting/complicated/confusing. And it's not just me at least 4 other people I know have had some sort of issue as well. Not a bad weekend at all but interesting for sure.

I just need some time to figure out what I want out of a relationship and figure out who I want to be with because next time I'm NOT going to do the breaking up (unless it's absoltely necessary) and it's going to last a while. It will. I'm done with short somewhat meaningless relationships. I want and need stability, someone who is going to be there for me no matter what and stick with me though my crazyness. Someone who will do crazy things with me, isn't afraid to put themselves out there but is still grounded. I don't want perfect, just perfect for me.

2:57pm: The Weekend
Friday night Jimmy and Jasper came to visit. We went and saw Gridiron Gang, very good. Then we made a Meijer run and Jasper decided he wanted to make cinnamon rolls. It was 1:30 am by the time we got back and he really did make cinnamon rolls, they were good.

In the middle of them baking Kim went and picked up her friend Kevin from Maria's because Maria's boyfriend Jesse drove them up. Jimmy and Jasper left at 3am....at 3:30 Jared came knocking on our door and Kim, Kevin and I hung out with him for a while until he printed off my "porn" picture, I fell out of bed to try and get it away (luckily Kevin caught me) and I ended up smacking the back of my head on the corner of the bed in Jared's attepmt to get it back...he left after that. So Kim, Kevin and I didn't end up going to bed until like 4:30 and our alarm was set for 9:30.

We got up in the morning went to breakfast, showered, took Kevin on a tour of the campus and then came back to get ready to leave for the beach. I went to go get the people who were supposed to go with us and Jon said he had to find a frisbee and he didn't want to miss the Mich./Notre Dame game (we got back at 3:50 and the game started at 3:30), Jimmy seemed convinced it would take him all day to do laundry, Gabe wasn't in his room and Kelsey wasn't back yet. Well on our way out we saw Kelsey and she said she was coming so I told her to bring Gabe with her.

Jesse, Maria, Kim, Kevin and I got to the beach and hung out for a while and laid there. I called Gabe and he said Kelsey had left without him but we hadn't seen Kelsey yet. About 3 we decided to go home but we stopped at Taco Bell first.

When we got back Kelsey said they had looked for us but couldn't find us. Maria and Jesse went back to her apartment and Kevin, Kim, Gabe and I played beach volleyball and then went swimming and played basketball in the pool. After, K,K and I went to Peppino's with M and J then K,K and I went and saw comedian Rebecca Cory, she was funny but it was mostly crude humor. We came home and went to bed.

Today we were planning on going to the beach again but Caleb never got back to me so Kim and I went Meijering....it was fun. Tonight we're making stroganoff and then going to and Ice cream social at 9!!! Yay for college life!

1:56pm: Experiences
So Wednesday night my sink threw up. It looked like dirt or oreos but smelled like shit. It happened to the girls next to us too. The RA from the other hall called DPS and a guy came and plunged the sinks then he called a different guy to come clean it up. He didn't get done til 1:30am...I was so tired by then.
While I was waiting though I was sitting down the hall with my MA and three other guys, my friend Jimmy was sitting on the floor with me. They kept telling me to go to bed and I knew I should but I didn't have enough energy to get up so I just kept falling asleep on my knees. Jimmy told me he could just push me over I told him it wouldn't really help me get up. Well he said it a few more times and after a while he did actually push me over. Well being half asleep my reation time was non-existant so I fell from a sitting upright position straight sideways and smacked my head on the floor very, very hard. I had a major headache after that and had to take a tylenol and sleep with and icepack on my head. I told Jimmy I wasn't going to let him live it down for a while, he said he'd make me cookies. He better because after pushing me over then promising me cookies, man he would never live it down if he didn't...I wouldn't let him.
I am feeling much better today and he's probly going to go to the beach with us tomorrow.

YAY FOR SUNSHINE AND WARMER WEATHER!!!!!!

12:13am: GVSU Football!!!
Tonight was our first home game and we won!!!!! 30-24, which is actually really crappy considering we're #1 in Division 2 and Ashland isn't even in the top 25. The game was way too close for comfort but we won and that's all that matters. Our last touchdown was the most amazing pass. Twenty yard pass to the end zone right through the hands of Ashland into our guys hands which he jumped to get....amazing!! I love football! Though I should be at a party right now cause that's what I'm used to doing after games...maybe after the next one, well maybe not since it's on a Thursday. Oh yeah, so our next game is on Sept 21 at 7pm against Michigan Tech and it's going to be nationally televised on CSTV....you should all watch.

7:45pm: I <3 College
I'm having so much fun at GV. I went to see a comdeian last night and at the end of it he tried some new stuff on us, and some of it was just bad, but it was still fun. I've made some amazing friends and my roommate is great, I feel like I've known her forever.

My writing Prof is crazy and my histroy prof is creepy, though today he did let us out half an hour early today to enjoy the beautiful weather.

The best part of college is that I can start with a clean slate. No one knows about my past except Kim, not that I have any horrible secrets or anything. I can be myself and not worry about the image people already have of me from others. It's wonderful!!

8:33pm: Life Sucks
So much for being so excited to see Andy. I talked to him Friday night and he told me he would call Sunday. Sunday rolled around and nothing....I called him three times and he never answered and he never called me back. That is the second time I've been stood up by him, the first time he ended up having to work, understandable but this time? I don't even know if I would answer the phone if he called. Well I would since I'm not that mean but he better have an awfully good reason.

And on top of that I was invited to a party back at home Friday night and my parents wouldn't f***ing let me spend the night! Because they're not okay with the whole boy/girl thing! ARE YOU KIDDING ME, I freaking live in a co-ed dorm! If I decide to go home again I'm not staying at home, I can't stand it.

3:29pm: School
So school is going well. My classes are good and my profs are so cool, especiall my psych prof. I had Lib. 100 yesterday and I wanted to shoot myself in the head so I went and dropped the class and added a history class instead, yay!

Andy is home from boot camp and we're going to hang out this weekend I'm soooooooo excited. I just talked to him on the phone for almost an hour it was so nice. And I'm so super excited for the weekend, not that I wasn't excited before but even more so now. I wish it were Friday right now! I'm SO excited to see Andy!!!!

So that was kind of a boring update sorry I just don"t really know what to say things are not that exciting yet> Well we had a movie night last night in my room and that was fun and today is my friend Maria"s birthday so.....and right now my roommate"s computer is being dumb i have to have caps lock on to type small letters and take it off to do big ones and the punctuatin stuff doesn"t work right........technology, well all better now. I think her laptop just had tempertantrums.

10:59am: The Simple Life
I remember back in elementary school when boys had cooties and people made fun of you if you liked someone and if a boy was picking on you it meant he liked you....those were the days.

Life changes so much as you grow up, everything changes. Boys don't have cooties anymore but they might have an STD, people make fun of YOU instead of teasing about who you like and when boys pick on you it's because they're trying to make themselves seem bigger.

Since I've graduated a lot has changed. I haven't had to worry about petty high school dramas anymore and for some reason my mind had converted back to the way it used to be - uncorrupt. Well not entirely. But I've gone back to the mindset of 'who needs a boyfriend? boy friends are just as nice and there's no strings attached', 'kissing a boy is nice but not necessary all the time', 'why can't friends just hold each other', 'what's wrong with dropping life to look at the stars and wonder about the universe?'.

I wish life were simple again.




Too bad it only gets worse from here.

2:21pm: College
So I'm leaving for Grand Valley on Tuesday. I'm excited to meet my roomate and get to know new people. I've changed my mind, I will be okay. So what I don't know people going into college (well I do but...) I'm going to make friends, I'll meet people. I'm friendly and not too scary. My RA friended me and today I had some junior named Bob friend me for the heck of it...so I friended him back. People alreday want to meet me and they don't even know me. I think I'm going to be just fine.

I saw my mom and sister off to band camp yesterday along with a bunch of my friends. I saw a couple people last night and then today at church. Tomorrow I have plans in my head to see a few people but I don't know if it will work out or not. I'm coming home for Labor Day which is only two weeks away. Then after that I'm coming home for LO Homecoming, Band State Finals and Thanksgiving after that I'll be home for Christmas. So it's not really all that bad when you think about it. And since there is technology I'll never lack communication....except for the first two weeks that I'm away cause I dont' think I actually ordered my laptop so I won't be getting that 'til I come home for Labor Day.

Now I'm off for a date!

12:36pm: Leaving
So I'm leaving for college next Tuesday. I'm so excited I have boxes of stuff in the living room and I'm working on gathering my personal belongings to take. I'm so ready to get out of my house and away from my parents. Sad to be leaving friends behind but with technology these days there will always be a way to communicate.

Usually I love dreams but today, right now, I hate them. They can cause pain rather than joy. I thought I was done with pain for a while and now I'm just bringing it upon myself again. If we just could have had the conversation in person rather than online I don't think I would feel this way, he could have seen that I was on the verge of tears. Too bad he's not coming home til Friday. Why do I always screw myself over? I read the Chinese Horoscopes - the symbol of the year you were born in thing - and it said that Dragons (my sign) are most likely to stay single all their life.......Right now I feel as if that really is my destiny........I don't want it to be, I want to find that someone and I want to have a family, I don't want to be a workaholic, but with the way things have gone in my life and they way they're going now I don't see any chance of changing anything.

I really honestly like him, and I haven't judged him once.
